Career opportunities in this field are expected to grow 6% through 2028, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The Curriculum
The master’s degree curriculum is a challenging mix of classes in taxation, analysis, and advanced auditing, plus classes in ethics, leadership, and management. You’ll graduate ready for positions as an accountant in public, private, for profit, and not-for-profit organizations.
International Accounting
International Accounting is a rapidly expanding field and its importance has grown in conjunction with globalization. You'll be ready to tackle global challenges in the twenty-first century – challenges that require you to be knowledgeable in international financial reporting, harmonization, standardization, and consolidation of financial statements of multinational corporations.
Foundation Core Courses
You may be required to take an additional foundation course in statistics if it was not taken during your undergraduate studies in accounting. Statistics Foundations is offered either online or on campus during the weekend. Your admissions counselor will advise you as to whether this class is necessary.
