The Curriculum
The MS in health care administration degree consists of 42 credits, including two electives tailored to your interests. Our goal: to get you to apply technology, evidence-based decision making, and critical thinking skills to the delivery and management of health care services.

Marketing and Strategic Planning in Health Care
This course focuses on the strategic planning and marketing processes of health care institutions. You will learn to apply a market-oriented perspective to the analysis of environmental factors and organizational resources, to formulate collective business goals, and design customer driven marketing that achieves a sustainable competitive advantage.
Foundation Courses
Depending on your undergraduate experiences, you may be required to take foundation courses before beginning the healthcare administration master’s program. Courses are offered on weekends, either online or on campus. Your admissions advisor will counsel you on whether you need these foundation courses.
- Statistics Foundations - The objective of the course is to strengthen skills in abstract thinking, critical analysis, and forecasting.
- Economics Foundations - This course covers topics such as analysis of supply and demand, price elasticity, and identification of the main components of macroeconomics.
