How Long Does It Take to Get a Master’s in Health Care Administration Online?
It takes five (5) semesters to complete the MS in Health Care Administration. For full-time students, that’s less than two (2) years.
Health Care Administration Degree Requirements:
42 total credits*
36 credits of required core courses, including a capstone course
6 elective credits
You can earn your Master’s in Health Care Administration online or in a hybrid online/on-campus format.**
* Depending on their prior education, some MS in Health Care Administration students may be required to take a foundation course in either statistics or economic foundations.
**Per the terms of their student visas, international students must attend three (3) session days per semester in on-campus classes.
In its own way, healthcare administration can be just as complex as medicine itself. In this course, students will learn about topics including the right to treatment, health care contracts and claims, provider licensure, credentialing, peer review and privileges, scope of practice, research compliance, institutional liability, informed consent, and advance directives.
