This session is given the first Wednesday of each month at 12:00 pm at the Office of International Programs, 145 Huguenot Street in New Rochelle as well as online. Please submit this form and RSVP to the next session.

Meet with an International Admissions Advisor
Once you have selected the study abroad program that is the best fit for you, it’s now time to submit your application. International Admissions advisors will assist you with the application process. It’s important you apply to a program at least 6 months prior to the semester start date.
Meet with a Financial Aid Advisor
Once you have been accepted to a study abroad program, you will meet with a financial aid advisor to review the costs associated with the program and how financial aid grants and loans might cover expenses.
Meet with a Student Services Advisor
Once you have completed a Discover Study Abroad onsite session, received acceptance to a program, met with a financial aid advisor and have an idea which academic courses meet your degree requirements, email or call your Student Services Advisor to make an appointment. The advisor will explain to you how the courses you take abroad need to fit into your degree requirements at Monroe.
Applying for a US Passport
U.S. passports are issued by the U.S. Department of State for U.S. citizens; citizens of other countries have passports issued by their own government. If you are studying abroad, you will be required to have a valid passport book (not card) prior to going abroad.
In addition to a valid passport book, some countries require that your passport book is valid for at least 6 months past the date that you plan on returning to the U.S.
Don't wait until the last minute to apply - if you did, talk to your advisor to get information on expedited passport processing or go to the U.S. Department of State website.
