“I’m halfway through my tenure with the NYPD, and I want to make sure I'm ready for the next stage of my career,” said Diane Crowley,
“The dean helped me map out my curriculum and was attentive to my concerns. He was genuinely enthused to share my success. I didn’t feel like just a number – I felt like an individual.”
The master’s in criminal justice program offers great incentives for members of the NYPD, and was the best option for Diane financially. King also offers online classes, which was an absolute necessity due to her hectic work schedule.
As a training detective for the Transit Special Victims Squad of the NYPD Special Victims Unit, Diane responds to incidents, investigates allegations, interviews victims, obtains evidence, makes arrests, and conducts interrogations. “King Graduate School prepared me to analyze the issues I face on a day-to-day basis. It taught me to examine my own biases, broadened my horizons, and made me a more effective and well-rounded detective.”
