Kareem Meade
“By the time you leave Monroe, you have become a lot more knowledgeable in other cuisines because you have worked with students from around the world.”
Attending culinary school at Monroe offers major advantages, says Chef Kareem Meade. "Being so close to NYC, a place known for culinary infusion, you can find everything you need to be a world class chef. And by the time you leave, you've become a lot more knowledgeable in other cuisines because you have worked with students from around the world,” he said. “You can’t find that any place else.”
While at Monroe, Kareem did an internship at the Ritz Carlton in White Plains. He was also part of the culinary team ... and clearly recalls a few smoke alarm incidents in the midst of some heated student competitions.
These days, Kareem is the executive chef at the Keyonna Beach Resort in Antigua. He received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management in 2013.
