Rossella Cangialos
“Going to Monroe was the best experience of my life. if I could go back now and enroll again, I would.”
Rossella earned her way into culinary school by winning a silver medal at a cooking competition at Monroe when she was still in high school. She received a bachelor’s in hospitality management at Monroe, and today is a high school teacher's assistant at a BOCES CTE program on Long Island.
While at Monroe, Rossella was a member of the national cooking team for three years and also served as its coach and mentor. She was named Student Chef of the year, a national honor recognizing her as the top student at a culinary school.
Her education, she says, could not have been better. "The school provides real-world experience, is affordable, and offers so much opportunity for growth. While I was on the cooking team, I traveled to Niagara Falls, Orlando, Boston, and Philadelphia.
