"I had enrolled at other colleges, but I felt lost. That's when I transferred to Monroe."
"Monroe gave me a second chance and I’ve never looked back. The other colleges I had enrolled in previously didn't help me and I felt lost. My experience at Monroe was completely different. In less than a week, I got my acceptance letter, and I was amazed that the transition went so smoothly.
"My professors and advisors stood by my side and helped me get my degree. When I started school, I had small children and my schedule was hectic, but my advisor made sure I was on top of my classes so I didn’t need to take time off and fall behind. Teachers understood and helped me get the work done and graduate. Through all my struggles, someone at Monroe was always reaching out and was there for me."
Today, Yesenia is the pathology coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering, a job she started right after she graduated from Monroe. She received her bachelor’s in business administration with a minor in marketing in 2019.
