Professional Opportunities
Monroe’s on-campus restaurant, the Dining Lab, is run entirely by students, from front of the house to the kitchen. The Pastry Kiosk gives students an opportunity to run a cafe.

- Conference Center Manager - Ensure a clean, safe and well organized facility. Oversee room set up, equipment, and technical support.
- Banquet Manager - Help hire, train, manage, discipline, and terminate staff.
- Special Event Coordinator - Meet with clients to work out event details, find and book locations, food, entertainment, and staff.
- Concierge - In hotels or resorts, assist guests with restaurant reservations, booking hotels, arranging for spa services, etc.
- Destination and Travel Resort Manager - Supervise all aspects of the resort business, such as housekeeping, grounds maintenance, accounting, restaurant management, and activities
- Front Office Manager - Organize operations and procedures; prepare payroll; review supply requisitions; assign clerical functions.
- Director of Housekeeping Facilities - Ensure hotel rooms are clean and well organized. Maintain supplies, investigate complaints, supervise housekeepers, train new employees, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Public Relations Coordinator - Develop and maintain the public image of the client or organization.
- Food and Beverage Manager - Forecast, plan, and control the ordering of food and beverages for a property. Maintain finances related to purchasing of food and drink.
- Hotel Manager - Manage employees and plan, market, coordinate, and administer hotel services.
- Timeshare Manager - Market and sell timeshares to potential customers.
