The Curriculum
The nursing program at Monroe is a challenging mix of courses in anatomy, chemistry, pharmacology, and healthcare. You’ll take several liberal arts courses, too. Your professors will be with you every step of the way – their goal is to see you succeed!
Culturally Competent Care of the Child-Bearing Family
This course focused on family-centered care, including role changes for parents. Essential concepts include prioritization, communication, providing patient education, and facilitating continuity of care following discharge.
Application Process
An admissions advisor will guide each applicant through the required steps:

- Submit the required documents
The School of Nursing Admissions Committee will evaluate the submitted application and documents and provide timely notice of its decision. Those who are accepted will complete the financial aid process and are subject to a background check and a physical exam.
