Everyone was learning together and we became a close-knit group.

There are so many people at Monroe invested in making you a teacher for today’s world. It’s a great feeling to have a team behind you.

At one point Julysa struggled financially and had to drop out of school. "But Monroe never gave up on me," she says. 

My student teaching experience allowed me to do everything I’m doing now in the classroom – from creating lesson plans to attending student evaluation meetings.

Getting a job after graduation was easier for Ana because of  Monroe's many connections in the community.

Rossella earned her way to culinary school by winning a medal at a Monroe cooking competition...while she was in high school.
